My kitchen is a room that we have not improved since we have moved in. We know what we would like to do but can't seem to get started on it. The back door opens up to our kitchen and this entry way gets very messy with the dog, shoes, mail, and a few extras we can't quite remember how they got there.
As many times as we have considered what we would do to the kitchen we didn't know how to address the area at the back door. I have seen some beautiful entry ways but this area in our home has three doors-the back door, the door to the basement and a small pantry. We do not have room for a bench and hooks and all the other beautiful things that I have found.
I borrowed this great book from the library and fell in love with all the innovative and creative ideas in it. I was totally in love.
My absolute favorite and an answer to our backdoor problem was right there in the middle of this beautiful book.

We have one of those in our master plan but we can't do it quite yet ... we have quite a bit going on!
What a great cabinet! I hope you find something perfect that would fit your entryway. Can't wait to see what you come up with someday :)
That is a great cabinet!! We have a mudroom that is tiny and has three doors in it also...makes for a messy looking entrance into the house too. Can't wait to see what you find.
I need one of those too! great idea for corraling all those stray things...:)
such a fabulous cabinet. hope you find what you are looking for - and add a label for one part - mine! and claim it just for you! x
Oh I hope you find that cabinet! I think it would look great in your room. Happy hunting!

I'm also facing the dilemma of what to do with our kitchen - and all of the shoes and junk that get dumped everyday. LOVE this idea!!
Cheers,

Love that cabinet! and we need one too. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
Hi Ruth!!
How are you, friend? I haven't been around in awhile, so I wanted to stop by and tell you hello. :)
I LOVE that cabinet.
So glad you found a great inspiration piece. This is one of may all-time favorite books! I am a huge JunkMarket fan!! If you want a little more JunkMarket, you should come to Minneapolis for the big event in May. They just posted about it at junkmarketstyle.com!
Hello Ruth,
I love, love that cupboard that was modified...I just love that type of stuff that re-purposed to fit your needs.
We have a re-cycle place out here in the county to take a our trash to since there is not pickup in the county. So far I've found a few small tables.
I sent Thomas one time and he came home to report that there was an old spindle baby bed sitting there...and of course, I just about shreaked when he said he didn't bring it home...LOL
I'm having to teach him to look beyond what the piece was originally use for and to look at the pieces of wood that can be salvaged for a future creation. :0)
Now he's conforming..LOL :0)
I've got my St. Patrick's Day post up and some free digital shamrocks that I made...they can be used digitally or be printed out and cut out.
Have a great day,
Stephanie ♥
