Dear hubby bought me a lucky bamboo a little while back. This was its original container. I really did not like it.
So I switched it to this~a recycled Starbucks Frappuccino bottle.
I really did not like the roots showing through so I added some jute twine. I only had a little bit of it at home and I didn't want to go out to buy more. Unfortunately, you can see the stamped writing on the bottle.
I decided to hot glue a starfish onto the bottle and it covered it perfectly.
Loving the new look. So much better and I did it all with things I already had at home.

I was absolutely thrilled. I have a few project ideas in floating through my head. I need to decide what exactly I want to do.
There is a wonderful old rocker in my basement that I rescued from my neighbor's trash. It needs new life and I am thinking that this amazing bag will be part of it.
Love the type written tag that Jamie added the bag. So sweet.
I hope you are all keeping cool with the heat wave most of us are having. It reached 103 here by noon. The humidity is high so we are hibernating inside with the ac. Keeping cool.

Love this!! I have found when repurposing bottles, acetone for nail polish remover removes the printing :)
I love what you did with the bottle....I have a few of those around too (darn date stamps). You just opened up a world of possibilities.

I was going to post the same as the anonymous post. Nail polish remover will take the printed words off. I've used those exact bottles for a project and the acetone in the nail polish remover takes it right off with a cotton ball.
