Farm Girl

I am a farm girl at heart. I have always dreamed of living on a farm surrounded by animals. I remember when I was about 9 years old my class went on a field trip to a local, historical farm. It was in the spring and the lambs had recently been born. I clearly remember sitting and feeding the lambs with a bottle. From that time on I have always wanted to have my own farm. This is a dream that I will never let go and someday, I pray it will come true. When I dream of my farm I hope to someday have:

Aren't these goats just adorable? I would definitely love to have some of them living on my farm.

A pen full of chickens and a beautiful hen house would make my farm a happy place for me.

Of course, my farm would not be complete without the baby sheep that first tugged at my heart.

This is the dream that I hold onto. I know someday I will live on my farm. I just hope it is sooner rather than later.

I also wanted to share with you a site that I stumbled upon the other day. If you have not visited
Jessie Steele's site you should. She has some of the cutest aprons and tea towels. Here are some of my favorite's from her site:
I love aprons and the three of these caught my eye. I think they are so flattering and pretty. I will be sewing my own aprons soon. I have some ideas that I'm working on.

I also look forward to opening my own Etsy shop soon. Come back soon for more details.

Have a great weekend!!!!

Hi Ruth...I had a dream of farmlife, and this last December it came true. We have goats, sheep, and chickens...oh and ducks and a goose and turkey too!!!

It is the hardest thing that we have undertaken, but it is so amazingly awesome!

I am so tempted to get chickens next spring, but... not sure I can convince my husband, LOL! We don't live on a farm, but in a very rural area surrounded by them :-)

Hello Ruth!

Thank you for visiting me today. Don't ya just love MJF? I am new there too. I'm going to sign up soon to be a part of the Sisterhood. I'd like to have a chapter here in GA.

I hope that someday you and I both get our farms!

Look forward to your etsy shop. Definitely checking out the aprons.
